Setting out to drive the incredible Kirkstone Pass in the Lake District, UK. We started our day at Ullswater before stopping in Glenridding just before the start of the Kirkstone Pass. We then got some delicious food at the Kirkstone Pass Inn, one of the oldest pubs around, dating back to 1496! 3/11/20

Kirkstone pass is a stunning road, however it’s probably the best road to ruin your clutch 🤷‍♂️😂. We use it a lot because we hike a lot of the fells and mountains in that area.

A 15th century inn that's inhabited by spooky ghosts I'm sure. ❤️

It is lovely. Been to the lakes lots of times. But there are a few in Scotland that are nicer.

'The Struggle' from The Kirkstone Pass Inn doesn't 'go all the way to the lake' it goes down into Ambleside, about a mile north of the lake. the A592 'Kirkstone Pass Road', the other road if you fork to the left, runs all the way down to join the A591 (Windermere to Ambleside road, ) at a roundabout, and if you go straight on from there, the A592 'Rayrigg Road', leads you down into Bowness-on-Windermere and then 'all the way to the lake'.
