Park Center Boys Basketball Beats Osseo for Section 5AAAA Title

The Park Center boys basketball team will be back to defend their state class AAAA title after beating rival Osseo 62-52 in the Section 5AAAA championship game. The Pirates built a 31-26 halftime lead.

They quickly moved the lead into double figures in the second half and seemed to be in command before Osseo surged late. The Orioles got within two late in the game before Park Center put it away.

CJ O’Hara scored 22 points to lead Park Center, with Casmir Chavis adding 14. De’Mari Larkins had 15 to lead Osseo. Park Center (26-2) is the top seed for the class AAAA state tournament.

The Pirates meet Andover in the quarterfinals at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Target Center.
