Hello! I was wondering, since most antibiotics target the 70S ribosomes in bacteria, how come they don't affect the function of the host cell's mitochondria, which also has 70S ribosomes?

What do you mean by membrane-bound organelles to " compartmentalize cells activity"? What does compartmentalize mean?

Dr. Well. Isn't it that AUG is a.start codon(.met)?.so this has to come first before any other mRNA codon for protein synthesis to.begin.
