All-party meet underway in Parliament on Bangladesh crisis; EAM Jaishankar briefs on govt's behalf

Delhi: An all-party meeting is underway in the Parliament on the issue of Bangladesh. EAM Dr S Jaishankar briefs the members of different political parties.
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who resigned on August 5 following unprecedented anti-government protests, landed at the Hindon airbase in Ghaziabad.
Bangladesh's army chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman said the military would form an interim government. At least 300 people were killed in more than a month of deadly protests. The protests escalated despite the scheme having been scaled back by Bangladesh's top court.
