I've been skipping the board game breakfast videos not knowing they are now much broader in subjects and theme. I was pleasantly surprised and very grateful for all the hard work put into these videos! The kickstarter sequence is perhaps my favorite, but the comparison of two or three games is lengthy ( I honestly got board and skipped over it). All in all, awesome job!

34:06 It's a trade-off I gladly accept in LCG gaming. I may never have the thrill of excitement over an ultra-rare booster pull, but I will also never feel the far more frequent bitterness of dropping $100 on a booster box and getting crap I don't need or want. I don't have to choose which game to flush my limited income on, when it's so easy to keep up with several. Plus, I will never get thrashed by people with more money or better booster luck - I will always have a fair match against equal-opportunity collections, where deck-building and skill are the only determiners of victory.

Phil Phoglio did an adult themed ccg called XXXenophile which involved cards changing owners. Which wasn't as big a deal as it sounds because all cards had the same rarity. It added a nice touch to the game play, because you had to balance winning the game with getting cards you didn't have. Great fun. I'd  love to see this kind of ccg again.

I love Android Netrunner, but I also agree with Tom, I love that excitement of seeing what you get, it's such a great experience opening packs and getting good cards.

Minor correction — The Meeple Source meeples are not stickered, but instead painted on both sides. :)

That could be an interesting segment. Quick, few minute segment on different boardgame collections out there. Just let people video them and send them in.

Scott Nicholson I find your comparing video games to bored games fascinating, and I was wondering if you had any examples of bored games that hide information like a video game do.

After over 10 years off of playing MtG I got back into it. First night I realized it was a totally different monster. It was then I found that the game has really just become a 'What deck to buy this week' and a mad rush to ebay to build it. I tried 3 weeks and after seeing how 'shady' people could be at the pre release I decided it's not the same and not for me. I since have decided to spend the MtG monies and buy games my whole family can enjoy, and I feel tons better, even more excited than when I would win Sat afternoon Tourneys.

Magic is a former shell of itself and after almost 20 years it's trying to push boundries just to stay in the light.
