New FREE Amp Sim Pack by IK Multimedia - Amplitube TONEX CS Vst Plugin - Install, Review & Full Demo

IK Multimedia just launched Amplitube Tonex, a cool amp plugin suite that uses artificial intelligence to model the sound of real amps, cabinets, combos or pedals. The free version includes 10 amps.

1:11 Wow, this sounds exactly like an ENGL (Metalmaster or Fireball?). I heard the Metalmaster on EytschPi's channel and usually most ENGL sims suck. But this sounds great, need to try it. THX.

These Tonex presets sound great. I just spent some time trying to copy some of the best presets with my line 6 HX stomp. I used my most expressive pickups (H bomb silvertron style with magic treble and mids). Frankly I got the same results… BUT I had to add some EQ and compression here and there and choose the right stock cab. I did those clones with my studio flat monitors and my studio flat headphones, they are really almost identical, just a very tiny winy EQ difference, but same quality, same greatness expressiveness and all. So yes, Tonex is a great product, but I don’t think it is above what you can already get with other top modelers

With your guitar, I found the first JCM800 preset is the most realistic crunch tone. Like the Orange and Fender 57 tones too.

Looks fun, downloaded it with the Amplitube 5 update and wished I had seen this before wasting my $20 voucher at Plugin Aliance on another amp sim. lol. Lotsa small fender type amps here just wish there was one VOX Ac30 in there.
