When i started taking finasteride 5 years ago due to hair loss, i also started going to the gym 4 times a week. I started taking 5g creatine every day and i have done so for 5 years now. My hair loss stopped completely when i started taking finasteride at the same time i started taking creatine. I have only positive things to say about creatine. And it definitely does not cause hair loss for me

I body build and take creatine and my hair is fine. Constant stress on the body will cause hair loss but all you need to do is optimize your recovery and stop over training. Genetics also play a huge role

The answer is at 5:25. No, exercising doesn't cause hair loss, and neither does lifting weights or going to the gym.

So for me weightlifting helps balancing out my hormones and after 3 months of weightlifting i have way less hairloss ... for me its great. (And I have genetic hairloss)

Exercise does not cause hair loss, and even if it did you’d be a fool to not exercise. And you don’t need creatine, you need rest and nutrition.

I sprint and perform strength/power training, take fin and dut and, I take creatine for performance, nil issue with further hair loss

i was so stupid, my hygiene was absolutely horrendous for years (won't go into detail) and ive had moderate hair loss as a result. Wasn't until this year i started taking care of my hair and washing more often (2-3 x a week as opposed to omce every two weeks) as i became conscious to the bald spots and thinning.

How long should you hold off on trying to conceive after stopping finasteride? Should you even stop?

I'm not sure if this question is up your alley but since finastride prevents tostesterone conversion, how negatively could it affect muscle hypertrophy or gains ? I think it is important to know especially for people over 40.

Have been bodybuilding for years (53 years old now). It was not until I started drinking whey isolate shakes and using creatine. Over the years my hair starting to getting thinner, and the front corners were receding. This, along with super heavy weights each week. Was not using finasteride as well. Got a hair transplant and started low dose finasteride. All the while lifting moderate weights and not using creatine along with the whey isolate. Never had the crown touched via transplant, and was getting thin. Since using moderate amounts of finasteride, and lifting without any supplements my hair looks much better. Will never use any supplements again other than ones that don't raise test.

So natural testosterone production that happens from exercise could possibly be stopped from converting to DHT with the use of finasteride?

I’m concerned about the enzyme blockers effect on type 2 and type 2x muscle fibre physiological adaptations and compromising optimal adaptations for athletic performance (not so much gym bro aesthetics 😂)

Great work to cover all this in one take. No ums or ahhhs, great presentation. You’re giving me confidence to stop wearing a hat outdoors and maybe have a transplant.

I thought there were multiple studies showing that higher testosterone did not directly correspond to higher levels of DHT. This was if i remember correctly, because the conversion due to 5ar enzym was still the dame. Or am i wrong

Can i use salicylic acid together with minoxidil? Topically? Salicylic acid topically on skin can help keep the hairfollicle/skin/pores clean. And helps penetration of other products (minoxidil). But since salicyl acid is a derivative of aspirine, would this be a bad combination? The internet doesn't rlly give an actual aswer, so what do you guys think?

Weightlifting causes hair loss ?
What about pullups and push ups ?
What if you workout in the gym once per week ?

I had a hair transplant and take TRT to boost my levels, as long as you don’t go stupid and raise your level dramatically above normal and take finesteride cant see the harm as your just getting your levels back to normal.

Which supplements other than Creatine accelerate hair loss if you're already genetically predisposed to it? Does protein powder do so? BCAAs?

I’ve had a hair transplant 4 years ago and I’m on finasteride and topical minoxidil. So taking creatine should be ok?

Can I use finasteride on alternate days (e.g. Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Monday, ...) instead of 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) will it get better or not (I definitely did not forget the dose). Thank you so much.
