My wife entered the room as the finale of the episode was happening, right as Gambit said his catch phrase.
I'm 30 and this show was my childhood. She asked why I looked horrified and I couldn't even answer.
This episode started peaceful, intriguing and down the path of love hoping to give us fans the answer to the greatest Marvel relationship, Rogue and Gambit just for it to turn into a massacre and almost kill 2 iconic characters and succeed in the third. After Storm being "cured", Cyclops and Jean falling apart, Jean and Wolverine having a moment and then all this.. I was shocked immediately and I was in shock for hours after.

That ending was insane! One of the best of episodes of Marvel Television ever released! X-Men 97 might be my favorite thing Marvel Studios has ever done. Period.
