This will be a series of comparing the Turnigy Evolution to the Frsky models in depth. We will take a look at their inner workings and protocols to decide which is the best.

I've been waiting to get a new transmitter. I still fly with Flysky i6, I almost drop the money on it earlier in the year on Turnigy Evolution. I was hoping it would get better with updates, but March 2017 was the last update I know of. I didn't want to trash all the receivers I bought.(Plus ones still to be installed on for repairs or new builds. I thought the Evolution was is going to be it, but my gut tells me go with the Taranis just ran over them with the new model's! Hopefully there are modules out there that allow me to fly my flysky recivers. Because it looks like I'll be getting a early X'mas present. Oh Ya! Thanks again for your reviews & updates. Your channel have save me tons of cash. Before you & JC (Blue Falcon) I was wasting cash on crappy components & junk quads....Keep up the Great Work.

BTW, a lot of people replace the AA batteries for a lipo. Really easy. I think it's a good idea.

4:35 you can tighten the right metal bar and loosen the metal bar with the divit in it to get a smooth feeling If you don’t like the ratchet feel

Have a taranis qx7 love the mod  bay but size wise its big and bulky really like my devo 7e and devo 10!

I know you're in the middle of testing the receivers right now, but maybe you could do an episode on drifting.i build multiple quads and they all tend to drift on the pitch and roll axis (to the back and left), no matter the weight distribution.was wondering if the settings in the transmitter could play a factor in that

I have a FlySky FS-T6 that I just bought and didn't even used yet. (I bought batteries, a charger and lots of connectors, but they didn't arrived yet, so I don't have how to use yet). And I think on buying a FS-I6X or FS-I10 in maybe a year and, then, I get a Taranis. But I have a doubt: isn't Taranis compatible with FlySky?

Get 3D printed thumbpads for the Evolution. It feels just like a Playstation controller. I love mine!!

I love my X7 :) I just received a silicone case for it, just awesome !
I'm now hacking it to handle the crossfire module at full speed ! Can't wait to try that !

I started whith flysky then evolution, but have changed kompletly to first qx7 and now qx7s.

I bought the Evo strictly because of the form factor. I think in the future more companies will put out a quality controller with that form factor. However, after getting it, I've seen many reviews that say the Evo wears out quickly, as you note, and I've decided that in the near future I'll be getting some flavor of Taranis. It's too bad Turnigy hasn't followed up with anything new. I sent them an email asking about that, and they stated they had no plans whatsoever to change things. Thanks for the video, as always!
