“Chipmunking” genuinely makes sense. Things on 2x speed when they also pitch shift to balance out the speed does kinda sound like Alvin & the chipmunks. That’s probably where the phrase comes from too.

Edit: so does Brain lint. Lint, as in the cluster of dust that sits inside pockets, really is just space-wasting in clothing, so Brain lint is just that but for knowledge. One example I’ve got is that my friend has 100% memorised the word the longest word in the english language. To be fair, I’ve memorised (the fear of long words), so I can’t really say anything.
