Originally, this video was titled: "Strider Warp Cannon | GMod 13" many, many years ago.
Then the Skibidi toilet meme rose to fame, especially with the introduction of Titan Speakerman and its iconic sound.
In 2023 to 2024, Skibidi toilet fans then flooded the comment section of this video, and a war broke out between Skibidi toilet fans and NON-fans in the comment section, even long before I changed the original (default) thumbnail to include Titan Speakerman (& also Cameraman) in the thumbnail.
In the comments, I offered to make a poll on what thumbnail to decide on, but people didn't seem to bother to thumbs up an option, so I opted to remake the original (default) thumbnail and make it into one that is shown today.
Also, I have paused the comment section of this video, to give myself a break with responding.
Older video description:
Dafuqboom most likely retrieved the Strider Warp Cannon Sound from SFM, a software, and then he manipulated the sound in the SFM Video Editor.
For many of you have commented about the sound you hear being used for Titan Speakerman's blaster, in @DaFuqBoom Skibidi toilet series, which is true.
For example, refer to "skibidi toilet 35", found here:
Most likely, @DaFuqBoom retrieved the sound from Source Filmmaker or SFM.
Below information is from the original upload's description:
Besides impaling targets with their long legs, Striders are also armed with two ranged weapons. The first is an anti-personnel pulse cannon mounted between a pair of compound eyes on the front of the Strider's carapace. The second (and by far the more powerful) weapon is a warp cannon mounted on the Strider's belly. This cannon not only causes scenic destruction but also inflicts massive splash damage that will vaporize anything in proximity to the area of impact. Prior to the warp cannon's discharge, a thin blue laser indicates where the Strider is aiming and the space around the weapon becomes warped, bending light as the cannon charges. Apparently they are strong enough to kick vehicles into the air. The Strider's long legs can instantly kill any NPC that comes too close to the Strider, however it's not used against the player.
Garry's Mod (officially abbreviated to GMod) is a sandbox physics game that allows the player to manipulate objects and experiment with physics using the Source engine.[6] Garry's Mod has been available on Steam's content delivery service since November 29, 2006.[1] Despite being a standalone game, Garry's Mod requires the user to own at least one Source game on Steam such as Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source, or Team Fortress 2.[1] It is also commonly used for the creation and publishing of videos,[7] mainly from Team Fortress 2, Portal and Left 4 Dead, on YouTube due to the wide range of features.
