Major Business and Activities Congo-Gumi mainly specializes in wooden architecture, and has been responsible for the construction and repair work of many of Japan's famous temples and shrines. In particular, it has made a great contribution to the repair and restoration of buildings of great historical value, using traditional Japanese architectural methods. Management and Change In 2006, Congo-Gumi became a subsidiary of Takamatsu Construction Group due to financial difficulties.
