I love the classic VW bugs. There is so much you can do with them. Whether an economical daily driver, or slightly pepped up, or a really fast street car, or off-road baja builds, as well as different body kits, ect. They are very versatile. I'd like to have a 2.4 liter air-cooled flat-6 out of a 1972 Porsche Carrera 911 S with the Porsche transaxle. With the mechanical fuel injection and 210 HP, it would make a great sleeper inside an old VW bug body and something like that could serve as a long lasting daily driver as well.

Awesome ride dude. As a diehard Mopar man i was humbled early on. While going to school I met a VW engine guy and a few Puerto Ricans who were racing RX's with rotary "enguns" at Tulsa speedway. In 1991 we went to the VW nationals in Ennis Texas at Motorplex. Saw several very streetable bugs carry the front wheels 200 or 300 feet. Very humbling indeed!

I love my mustangs..worked 03 GT and a highly worked 70 Mach 1. I also recently picked up and modded a 66 beetle. I love them all in their own rights and differances :-)

For the car car was all stock seats were just re-done all new springs padding . Motor is a 1914 AJ turbo kit. I welded a 3 inch down pipe external waste gate added an 02 bung for the LM1 that I zip tied threw the stock radio hole so I can try to do my own tuning. Rancho built the tranny sway a way axles 50/50 water meth kit sprays at 8 lbs boost .

i always liked the old bugs, (thanks Herbie) and ive seen that for the most part they are really easy to work on. i wanna get one as a project (along with allot of musclecars) after i finish college

Hahaha, I love this!! I have a 66' Resto-looker myself... wish I had that motor too...:) Going to replace my stock 1500 cc to a 1679 cc with dual weber 40 carbs some day...Keep on racing guys and thanks for a real fun vid!!

I have a 1971 Karmann Ghia, with a freshly rebuilt ( about 800 miles on the new motor ), 1600 that’s had a few minor modifications😳
It is too much fun….! Love to see air cooled VW’s Standing their ground out on the roadways……..🔥👍🏻🔥
