hi! thank you so much for these videos. if I were to take down to be positive when using 9.81 as acceleration would that be ok to then have a positive acceleration and a positive displacement for the first example? and can I do this for other examples so long as I am careful and consistent? I think i prefer working with a positive acceleration of free fall !

1:40 don’t u take a positive side first then a negative side so u know what’s what

It's kind of confusing to label these videos '2.1, 2.2, 2.3...' because those are the sub-topic labels in the syllabus, but that's not what you mean it it? You just mean, part 1, part 2, part 3 of, possibly, the same sub topic!

1:40 i think this video's incorrect. -9.8 for acceleration means the acceleration is negative and the object is going upwards. because if it was +9.8 it would be acceleration due to gravity which happens towards the surface.

Is it possible that we can take gravity as 10ms^-2, is using 10 not allowed in the IB?

wouldn't -9.81m/s^-1 be deaccelerating?

This doesn't work if you are "pushed". That will mean u is not 0.

I got a bit lost as to how you got 9.81 for acceleration. help???😟😬😬😬
