The 3 UGLIEST Planes That Are ACTUALLY REAL! #shorts

In this amazing aviation/plane video we are going to talk about the 3 UGLIEST planes i found on YouTube/Google. The planes are called: 1. ATL-98 Carvair, 2. Bréguet 763 and 3. Conroy Skymonster. Hopefully my small general/aviation/plane/aircraft jokes made you laugh, at least a bit.

I spent 12 years working in the engineering hangar where the Carvair aircraft were maintained at Southend Airport. It was not ugly, it was a very clever adaptation of DC4/C54 aircraft and was designed for the ferrying of passengers, freight and cars. I have lost count of the number of times I flew on Carvairs. They were a real workhorse and I wish they were still flying today.

The 747 might have got the idea from the Carvair, which was built first.
The A380 is not a copy of the Skymonster, it uses the same idea as the 747, but extends the upper deck along its whole length.
The Skymonster was from the same designer as the Super Guppy, which Airbus flew until it developed its own jet equivalent, the Beluga.
The Guppy was a swollen conversion of the Stratocruiser, which in turn was an inflated Superfortress. Boeing then made the Dreamlifter along the same lines.

The Carvair is basically just a more smaller and deformed version of the Boeing 747SP (747 Special Performance)
