Days Of Our Lives is one of the longest-running scripted TV shows in history. It was created by the husband and wife team Ted and Betty Corday in conjunction with Sony Pictures Television. Its plot deals primarily with several core families, the Hortons, Bradys, and Dimeras, and their tangled web of interpersonal relationships and drama.

Since "Days" premiered back in the 60s, it has aired over 14,000 episodes over 60 seasons. What other show can even come close to that? There are many things that fans appreciate about the series. For one thing, viewers enjoy the sense of escape from reality that they receive through some of the show's more outlandish and exotic plots. Regular watchers also develop an intense feeling of loyalty and devotion to their favorite characters.

My mother used to watch Days of Our Lives religiously. And I hope the 4 remaining soaps stay on. And I may be in the minority as far as guys go. But I wish someone would come up with a night time soap as good as Dallas was too

I remember rushing home from school to see Days, The Doctors, and Another World. We go back to the time that Susan and Bill Hayes - oops, I meant Julie and Doug Williams - hadn't yet met! (And McDonald Carey was still playing a main character and wasn't just a voice on the opening). We were huge fans of Bill Hayes from his earlier work and were delighted when he joined "Days". Going to work full time kept me away from the soaps for many years, but now that I'm retired and white-haired myself, I might try to catch an episode or two before it goes away. (Of course I won't know anybody on it now!)

As a kid in France I used to watch it with my nanny, who was an older lady. Ah the memories. Sitting on the plastic covered couch next to her, a gigantic persian cat on my lap, eating walnuts and hearing my nanny react so genuinely to all the stupid plot twists...

My favourite soap was Passions. That show ran for 10 seasons 1999 - 2008, and was so crazy, but the last two seasons we're beyond ridiculous.

Mom would watch Days of our Lives and Young and the Restless religiously like once one was over it was right to the other one. Bold and the Beautiful was pretty good too but my mom was obsessed with the first two and still probably is tbh. Ngl I got sucked in out of boredom as a kid and now looking back I realize now why I recognize some actors. Like the dude they wanted to wear braces and lifted shoes is in The Rookie for a bit and Allison Sweeney is probably the most recognizable out of all the actors because she got hella commercial deals and movie cameos
