I like to think they make the most noticeable bent corners all common, so only people with a good eye can notice the bend randomly, and get good cards. I got the immersive Celebi EX from doing this strat, so I think this works.

Tried this this morning and got a ◇◇◇ Weezing and a ◇◇◇◇ Charizard EX. Both I never had! I tried the Pikachu deck a few minutes ago and got my second ☆ Squirtle! It is wild. I usually scroll around for a bit before picking one for fun.

Something I realised that may be worth looking into is there's some packs that look like they're leaning further back than others, like there's something weighing the pack down a bit further. I'm wondering if it's a way of finding out if you've got, at least, a holo in the pack

Hello, first of all love your content, I've discovered that the bent packs are packs that contain cards you don't currently have. I have pulled commons I didn't have (like Weepingbell) and rares like Articuno EX. Still good to know when I want to unlock more cards.

The one that had 5 commons, none of which were new, had Eelektrik. You need two of those to permaunlock the Pikachu EX deck. So it’s possible even if it doesn’t say “NEW”, you may still need it to progress in the game. Of course, none of that really means anything unless someone is going to look for crinkled packs and actively avoid picking those for a significant amount of packs, but I’m assuming nobody would want to do that. 😅 But imo if you find a method that’s fun for you and you feel like you get good results from it, then why not do it? If you find it frustrating wasting the extra time to look for the minuscule differences in the corners, then just pick whatever. It’s your game, play how you want.

Unfortunately this theory doesn’t work. The packs are always random. It doesn’t matter which pack you pick the cards are already pre picked for you. Hints the arrows in the bottom corner

I definitely think there's something to it. I got a gold pikachu on my first attempt. I've opened 70 packs, and a guaranteed gold card is about 500 packs

Worked for me, tried it and in the first pack, got Lt. Surge 2 star and silver border normal arcanine from a single pack.

That was a neat experiment. I did the same with 2 random back-sided pack. Looks like the pulls I did were coincidence as well.
