I've had 2 c sections and both times I didn't want one, both times were scary, both made me feel like not a "real woman". Like screw Matt

I’m not a psychologist but, these two stopped growing when they met. They are not growing up together. They are growing up apart but still acting like they were when they met, what I mean is their dynamics never changed from when they began their relationship. The things he says to her and about their relationship are despicable. Yeah he is dreaming of his exit from this trapped relationship.

It’s not that men can’t talk ab their mental health because it IS important. But to tell your wife that recently gave birth to one of your kids “it wasn’t enough” with out actually talking to your partner? And does he think his wife didn’t give up a lot too?

I stopped watching shortly after she gave birth. I didn’t really vibe with how Matt was treating her, but she also was perpetuating some harmful expectations for postpartum women (not letting her body recover and stuff). It may have worked for her, but putting that out there and promoting that kind of stuff can make women feel awful if they don’t get back down to size right away, if they can’t run a 5k, etc. I wish she had used her platform a bit differently. Now, after seeing a lot of what they’ve put out, it makes me glad I stopped watching. They have some takes I definitely don’t agree with now and they’ve associated with some questionable people.

The term post partum depression shouldn’t be used for men, unless they have given birth ofc. Yes, you can definetly have an emotional crisis or depresive period due to the nee addition to the family, but it’s not the same as how giving birth messes with your hormons.

I do feel for Abby a bit because she’s said she rly doesn’t like the social media but basically Matt keeps pushing for it. She’s the one who decided not to have the kids in the content anymore which I’ll always give her props for. I wonder if her being with only him just has her so used to his behavior, lack of emotional & parental support even though HE DOESNT WORK that it’s become her normal even though we see it & are in shock.
Now the cruise ship thing is just wild, you’re rich bring a nanny. Otherwise you have two SUPER young kids, you’re at a stage where you have to expect fam vacays to be chaotic & not a romantic getaway. She RLY posted the initial post like it was a cruise ship parenting hack!!! Wild.

I’ve 2 boys ( 21 & 19 ), and 3 girls (23, 17 & 12). If any of mine treated their partners like these do (Matt in particular, he’s a literal spoilt man child), I’d be ashamed, embarrassed and livid.
I’d feel I’d failed them as a parent by not giving them the life skills and emotional maturity to deal with life in general 🙄🤦‍♀️

I think there is a fine line between talking openly about things like post-partum (to raise awareness) and marriage struggles (to share tips on navigating tough issues or even to normalize that all marriages take some work), vs over-sharing and airing of your life. It's like living your life vs monetizing your life.
