Best Smartwatches 2020 | Tested & Reviewed | Apple, Samsung, Huawei & more

Reviewing the best smartwatches of 2020, from the greatest premium wearables like the Apple Watch Series 6 and Samsung's Galaxy Watch 3, to more budget-friendly devices from Huawei and Xiaomi.

One of my favourite smartwatches this year is Samsung's latest release, which is a premium upgrade to the Galaxy Watch Active. You get all of the features you'd expect, including full-on fitness tracking, heart rate monitoring, SPO2 measurement and more, plus contactless payments and strong customisation. However, like its greatest rival the Apple Watch 6, battery life is rather cack.

The Apple alternative is even more expensive, especially if you opt for stainless steel or titanium. Still, I like the Watch OS experience, which is well designed and intuitive. Note that you'll need an iPhone to unlock most of the features, however.

If you want a titanium smartwatch for cheaper, check out the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro. You don't get an apps store or assistant support, but the fitness tracking supports over 100 exercise types. And the two week battery life is the best I've tested.

You can also save cash by grabbing the Watch GT 2 or GT 2e, while the Honor Watch GS Pro is ideal for fitness enthusiasts with its rugged build.

We also take a look at the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS, one of the greatest Wear OS devices of 2020. And the Xiaomi Mi Watch is well worth keeping an eye on as possibly the winning budget wearable of the year. Full review coming soon!

Great review - I have the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 LTE, the Huawei GT2 Pro, the Apple 5, and the Ticwatch Pro 3 and hands down the GT2 Pro is my favorite. Only downside to the GT 2 is it doesn't allow you to respond to text messages or ECG monitoring which is a bummer, but overall the battery life as you said is second to none. The Galaxy is great with all its features but has to be charged every day because of the 5 mile run I do every day and all day monitoring of my health. I have not be able to get myself to embrace the Ticwatch Pro 3, and while I have tried to give it the benefit of the doubt because it does have all the features you could possibly want, and lasts on a single charge about 2 days, it also lacks the ECG which the Apple and Galaxy have. End of the day I guess it's personal preference that matters, and without sounding like a Pillock I love the Huawei for its smart companion during runs, battery life, and beauty.
