On Set with Real Simple Magazine

Spring has finally started to appear in New York City this week (better late than never), so it was fitting that my editorial with Real Simple magazine came out because it is all about spring florals. Throughout the day I filmed video footage of what really goes on behind the scenes. You'll see what it takes to put a photo shoot together and how many people there are on set.

Florals are all the rage this spring. I've been seeing them all over the blogosphere, from home decor to fashion. Real Simple went above and beyond with the floral theme by inviting painter Deborah Freedman to set to paint backdrops. Each backdrop was painted to match the flowers in each of my outfits. It is rare to have a artist painting a backdrop for each shot, usually it is the same background for each outfit. These little touches are what make a photo shoot that much more special.
