With all 52 of the H9 Max’s algorithms plus 10 new selections and expanded controls, the H90 is one of the most versatile yet compact multi-effects units out there today. What’s more, the H90 is remarkably true to its rack mount heritage with extensive I/O and personalization options yet is easy to use, even for players who shudder at the thought of rack mount gear. Join Mitch Gallagher for an in-depth demo that just scratches the surface of this amazing pedal’s potential!

I've had mine for a little over a year now and haven't even scratched the surface of what it can do. It is THE most amazing pedal I have ever owned, and I've pretty much owned them all since 1963.

What’s amazing to me is the comments of so many on here about the price and comparing to other multi effects but fail to compare them to strymon’s when you are paying $450-$500 for one type of effect and to have delay, mod and reverb of those you have to buy three different pedals totaling
Around $1500 with no drive or pitch effects…..
the Eventides (like the strymons) are professional level Studio Quality effects, it’s a different animal and not something that should
Be compared to Line 6 (as good as they are) Boss, Headrush or the like.

Certainly one of the better reviews / instructions, all interesting. So many vidoes like this they go on about loads of stuff taking up time, but this was crisp and to the point. Many thanks.

This thing is like a cheat code for ambient/soundscape sounds, love it

Thanks for an excellent demo. H90 is capable enough that just explaining it is quite a task, and you did a great job of it, Mitch. Eventide consistently leads the way.

It's basically everything an H9 user would want in an upgrade, with the dual engine, advanced routing and way better screen. Thanks.

Sweetwater has upped their game with demos over the years. Great job.

First of all the positive: I like that Eventide products deliver and allow you to manipulate the guitar’s timbre in a way that has always been beyond anything else in the market. The idea of a multieffect is awesome.

The not so good: The format still suffers from the same nonsense of the Factor pedals, you have a switch that allows you to bank down and two switches to select the presets on each bank. Who would build a $900 unit and not include a bank down switch? I understand that one could add a footswitch however at this price point the workflow should already be practical.

Considering what else is in the market being able to run two effects at a time is quite limiting. The format and size of the unit is practical however in my opinion the product to build would be something that allows you to simultaneously run at least one effect from their general categories considering pitch shifting, modulation, delay and reverb.

I am aware that there are some plausible redundancies considering that for example the micro pitch effect can generate modulated delays as well as chorus however this would free up the player to exploit the possibilities of the Eventide brand.

With something like this, all that one would need for a complete board would be some drives and expression pedals.

As someone that travels regularly small format solutions are prime nowadays.

I still own Eventide gear and it has served me well over the years however I think this product being presented could be developed further.

This is the best demo and explanation of the H90 on the net, great job Mitch! I just received my H90 (from Sweetwater :-) and this video got me up and running, thank you!

It’s definitely awesome and powerful, but most of the unique features are things I would probably never use. So I think I will just stick with a much simpler GT1000 core or HX stomp to handle all of my modulation.

I pre-ordered it. Been waiting long years for an effects pedal with a big screen. 😀

A great device with that stellar Eventide sound. But for less money, one could buy the Helix HX FX which has hundreds of great-sounding FX, an online editor, MIDI, scribble strips, etc.

I was waiting for Mitch to say "but wait there is more!" All in all this pedal is a pure Juggernaut!

Pratically a world of sound in a stomp box...fantastic!

Love the H9 and eventide! I think there are other options out there that have more flexibility and better priced but the eventide stuff has its own sound for sure

I love sweetwater. The best. But I have never seen anyone hide the guitar brand/logo as cleverly as you! Even when fully displayed it is so blurry you can't tell what it is. BRAVO!

Thanks! Saved me a ton of time just turning knobs.

So happy with this pedal, granted it takes a while to get to grips with BUT wow the quality of the presets are amazing, also being able to change them to your liking… and store them in a separate bank is perfect for live performances, it’s a pedal to adorn any pedalboard, 9.95/10 👍
