I do feel sad for his adoptive parents. They love him and always did, despite his incredibly troubled and horrific deeds. As a retired psychiatric nurse practitioner, I do believe he has mental illness that has rarely been treated, and he is a drug addict. However, he knows right from wrong, and appears to definitely have antisocial personality disorder... they lack empathy, remorse or conscience. All serial killers have that personality disorder. And there is no medication intervention that would have ever stopped that personality disorder, nor did anything his parents did or didn't do. They did their best. I feel bad for them as they watched helplessly to Wade's decline and increasing criminality.
