We are an easy-going people, but two things get us riled; 1. Assume that we are Americans; 2. Think that we want to BE Americans. Trump has handed us a gift. His comments have united us as we come into an election cycle that has mostly been about slogans over substance.

Most Americans have no idea how much animosity there is among Canadians towards the United States. I used to read Canadian newspapers and listen to Canadian radio; America bashing is common.
