** There's a second NVME SSD under the MOBO cable. Sorry about that it was hard to see! What do you guys think of the Acer Swift Edge 16? I have to say price is good as it's on sale right now for $1049 but there's a few things that I wish Acer improved. Feel free to hit the like and subscribe button if you enjoyed the video.

Thanks for the review Matt. I've had Acer products in the past, and they worked fine considering their low price point. However, between the constant fan noise and the down-firing speakers I think there are probably better options out there.

Mathew, there's a second M.2 SSD slot beneath the USB board cable, just below the fans, anyway, great review as usual 👍👏

the reason the framework can run ryzen that well is because they use the same heat dissapation system as intel based, other manufactures always cuts off at least somthing related to heat dissapation if it's amd

Thanks for the video! I plan to buy a macbook with a gy windows machine and this is my candidate for brains. I hope to have a video of my other candidate, the Lenovo Thinkpad z13/z16 Gen 2.

If you're watching this video and thinking if you should buy the 2024 version of the exact same laptop.

Short answer, yes if you like lightweight and portable 16" laptop.

Yes, the deck flex is back, but it feels sturdier than the predecessor. Fan noise is also audible, but it is not as bad as it was before. Don't have a meter for it, but I can't hear the fan noise when the laptop is on my lap and I'm focused on things. It also doesn't get hot while on silent mode.

Newer CPU gives a good performance on compiling code and for casual rendering of videos.

Keyboard takes a bit to get used to due to the chicklet style keyboard, but to be honest it isn't that bad.

Screen is amazing. My spouse has the 14" Asus Vivobook with OLED screen and it does not compare to this screens quality.

8/10 (would recommend)

What about programming and web design? Does the Acer Swift edge 16 have the requirements for it?

If it runs cool, can we lower the fan speed to reduce noise without loosing much performance?

Sounds like the best light laptop of the year. But I am confused by the fan noise comment

I'd say it is a very nice laptop for the price.

Hey, bro. Just bought acer swift edge 16 (7735u, 680m). In stress tests cpu is heating to 95 degrees. Is it defective book and i should change it? Thanks in advance.

fan noise is unfortunate. and that's so stupid, like they have thermal headroom, why not have the CPU hotter when operating quiter? such a strange thing I notice in a lot of windows laptops, esp lenovo ones

Is it better in comparison with Macbook Air M1? What do you recommend choosing between them?

This would be enough for an Egpu set up

What do you mean the fans are around 40db? I can't make an educated decision about buying this off your review need more details on how loud these fans it's an important thing.

I'm looking for this APU in a 14"/13" 2-in-1 laptop, but nobody product it...

“AI” is just the new buzzword that everyone is using to sell garbage that will actually not improve your device or life. In fact most AI right now is so underbaked it will just be an exercise in frustration.

i really hate these acer keyboard. Man, if you need the home, page down, page up button they are on the numerical side, and most of the time you have to turn it off to use it.

The price is crazy. The macbook air is still the best option. So disappointing bc I want the same thing and windows version
