DC is NOT a state. Congress has LEGAL jurisdiction over DC. This is the original intent, since DC is the nation's capitol, it shouldn't also be a state.

I believe it is federal law that only U.S. citizens have the right to vote in our elections. If this is not the case then one needs to be implemented for all States and Federal elections.

I have a green card that I worked incredibly hard to obtain.
But I am fully aware that despite having almost all of the rights, I am not allowed to vote unless I obtain citizenship.
I wonder if what she is advocating for will extend to German nationals.
