DISPOSABLE PPS CUPS FROM HARBOR FREIGHT?!

Harbor Freight recently released their own version of the 1st Generation PPS cups. I gave them a shot!

I’m not a painter but I’m going to try to paint my motorcycle myself so I didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars just to use it once or twice so I bought that R500 gun that wasn’t too expensive but had good reviews, now after watching your video I bought the harbor freight cups, thanks for the video

Sata 2000 is the one I’ve used for everything. I got mines used with a 1.2mm tip sprays awesome with slick finishes.

If I’m being real I have the midi pps cups and this I personally like the HF one it’s cheaper yes the liners feel cheaper otherwise it works just as good and cheaper so I stopped by refill kits for my pps cups

How do us diy'ers dispose of paint waste responsibly? My local waste companies all just instruct you to dry the paint before tossing it in regular trash. As for solvents, who throws that stuff in the trash? I can always find a use for any type of solvent. Mainly, cleaning paint guns and equipment, I use the hobo freight cup system and it works great. I also have a smaller cup system. I can't remember what brand, but I've had a couple different ones. They use the same cup adapters. The little ones come in really handy for small jobs.

Appreciate the Vid ! Since you’ve used the various brands of PPS, do you find A Lot of material remains in liner, by the time it (stops) spraying ? These cups are SUPPOSED to reduce waste, and while they Do enable me to spray upside down/all I find that the HF PPS just wastes too much material.

I’m using this system but I still can’t read the paint measurements in the spectrum cup. Everyone I see using this system is using a separate mixing cup then pouring it into the spectrum cup. What the point of this if your still cleaning out a mixing cup. Can anyone tell me how to read this paint cup measurements. I know how to read a standard mixing cup however I can’t read this cup. I also see comments saying this is junk I have used it for months now and never had a leak. If your having issues you must be doing something wrong. I have had NO PROBLEMS put her than the paint measurements on the cup and this is just My inexperience.

Do you spray base coats with the sata 2000?

These are complete junk. I am so lucky I tested these with acetone before putting paint in the night before. Now I’m just hoping they will take them back. I bought two kits and the refills in anticipation of them working but lost the receipt on one of them. I like H/F but these are absolutely trash and will spoil someone’s paint job.

It leaks badly, made a mess all over my hands and the hood, trashed..
