Al and Ga are soluble over a wide conc range and may be liquid in a warm room. The Ga will penetrate the hydroxy-oxide layer on Al just like Hg. The bubbling mentioned below is due to the penetrated Al surface reacting with water and producing hydrogen. Don't know what the colours were that you saw. Not oxidation products as Ga needs high temps (500C+) to oxidise. Impurities?? Don't know where your Ga came from but probably has some Cu etc impurities.
