I did a quick tutorial on what to expect when doing a timing belt job for V6 hondas J series. This also applies to accords,mdx,RL, and other gen TL or CL.

Hey do you know if the belt was torn for timing belt but it only maybe skipped a couple teeth is worth replacing the belt. It is torn still on there everything rotates. Maybe jumped a couple teeth. Is it worth replacing or did something possibly get screwed up worse.

Hey man,

So on my 05 TL the left cam gear when trying to line up to TDC, it keeps on popping and when you get close to it the same thing happens. The one time I was able to get it pretty close to tdc as soon as the pin for the tensioner came out it made the cam gear move.
