Hi Mark;'
I must tell you that many of my friends and students who I advised to watch your videos are very happy. They think your lessons are very useful and well explained.
One more thing I'd like to add is that I guess the time expression "by the time " is similar to 'when' rather that 'before'.

Thank you Mark Roberts, well explained and slowly delivered as it should be done; may I suggest the use of he/she/it in your examples, this should make the present simple stand out in the time clause, even more obviously. Good work

Excellent video and good explanation. time clauses are very important and the time conjunctions you explained are very useful. I'll recommend your videos to my students. The way you explain is excellent. You were born to be an English teacher. When you teach English, You need creativity and you have it.

I have got some examples where the instructor use present tense but not always the simple present. It seems very puzzling to me. I would like to share those sentences with you for your opinion and if there any rules regarding this please let me know.
1. Context : Mark will wake up tomorrow at 7:30. His wife will leave for work at 7:00.
Mark will wake up tomorrow after his wife has left for work.
2. Context: I’m going to leave the office at 7:30 tonight. Traffic usually dies down around 7:00.
I will leave the office after traffic dies down.
3. Context: Emily and Helen will be having a meeting at 4:00. Katie will join their meeting at 4:30.
Katie will join the meeting after Emily and Helen are talking already.
4. Context: Kevin is going to ride his horse tomorrow. After that, he will go swimming.
Kevin rides his horse before he will go swimming.

Sorry, but why did you use Simple Past for ''as soon as'' ?
''I'll call you as soon as I'm finished'', can we say ''I'll call you as soon as I finish'' ??

You´ve mentioned "present simple" but what about the other present tenses? Present perfect and continuous?
