This is the more than long awaited bonelab patch 4 update! After over a year of patiently checking for updates every day, and constantly having to rely on modders for quality of life improvements, we finally have it!

This is a pretty in depth list of all the updates the patch has brought with it as well as some of my thoughts on the update for good measure!

2:02 Quick thing here, that menu was in the beta patch of the game before patch 4 (The same version mods like Fusion was on) And was not a modded spawn menu. Great video though!

in my opinion this update is worth because also like they have said before bonelabs is more qol updates and marrow upgrades where as boneworks was content updates
this update also caters more to modders cause as jay/jimmy has said the modders make the world of bonelabs he needed builders not dms

I play on quest and when the booted up bonelab I thought I was in a dream because of how smooth it was

I just played it again after about half a year and I can say it runs SO MUCH better now. Smooth fps and no lag. The game generally feels so much more playable. The story clipboards have more lore on them now too which makes for more of an enjoyable experience. Actually feels like you’re playing through a story now.

Ever since the new Quest version update me and many other Quest players haven't been able to upload a single mod onto any VR game that doesn't have modding available in the menu, Google / Android basically increase security which as a result screwed over the accessibility to the files.
I haven't been able to add Ahmad to Bone lab in months so this is a greatly welcomed update😂

I think this update broke the magnet puzzle at the area right outside the hub.

You know that part where there’s the 2 metal plugs you need to life with a magnet-like hook? It’s right outside the hub, after you enter the Quarantine zone and make your way up the steep metal hill.

I don’t know if it’s that I never figured the puzzle out on my own (don’t blame me, Bonelab can get very confusing), but the magnet seemed incredible glitchy. It would thrash around the moment it touched the floor, and just wouldn’t stick to either the plug or sewer drain I needed to lift in order to progress.

I understand that the update is new, and that knowledge on new glitches or how to circumvent them would be very scarce, but I’m wondering if anyone in the comments may have experienced this, or even found a way to stop it.

(TLDR: The plug lifting puzzle right outside the Quarantine zone was glitchy)

the new rig or something in patch 4 fixed the leg debris bug where you would get thrown into the floor walking over small things.

The deleting doors is i think a glitch and for some reason almost anything interactive or that has something that the player can interact with it can be deleted like the escalators, elevators, keys, buttons, those jump pads, cameras, lockers, gatchas and props that you can't spawn unless that's always been a thing

Also lag from dead bodies was reduced by removing physics from them when they aren’t being interacted with

One of the improvements is they changed the noises for melde weapons on ford npcs and added thicker more splotchy blood
