Catalytic converter thefts keep hitting cars across Utah every day. Now, a new report shows just how bad the problem has become.

I guarantee you it won't stop until you put the squeeze on the metal companies and recyclers. Increase the legal penalties for this theft, and for fencing them. Jail time, and loss of business license.

They don't get stolen much in Saudi Arabia...
They prohibit cruel AND unusual punishment too.
Their punishment for carreer thieves is definitely cruel. But it's not unusual.

Good luck getting my cats. They are behind the engine and you have to unbolt them to get them out from under the hood. No way to get a cutting tool back there.

They must mean older honda accords because the modern accord has the catalytic converter in the engine bay above the splash guard mounted vertically.
