AI for Everyone LESSON 14: Understanding Contours in OpenCV

In these lessons we will be using a logitech webcam. If you use the identical camera that I have, you will be ensured to get the same results. I suggest your life will be easier if you use the same camera I am using, available from Amazon below:

In this video I will show how to track on object of interest in OpenCV based on Color. We will work in the HSV color space, and we will use contours to track (x,y) position of the object in real time. I do not assume you are an expert, and can show even a beginner how to do this with step by step instructions.

Great video! A quick tip for everyone... I save and load the HCV values so I don't have to spend time every time I execute the program adjusting them. I followed the Paul's Youtube video, "Python Tutorial 14: Saving and Reading Data Files With Pickle" and it works great.

Great video, I have not been doing the projects but I enjoy watching for sure. When I upgrade my computer I will be doing some catching up.

I was able to identify the new person this week is none other than John von Neumann (who I recently have been interested in) who is considered by many to be one of the greatest mathematicians in history. He was able to develop a computer system that was one of the fastest because of his knowledge of skills in applied mathematics.

Paul, with new technologies like chatGPT and other AI technologies do you think there is still a reason to learn this AI course or coding in general? Or would my time be better spent on learning a different skill, like HVAC?

I think you need a plain background to have success with this program. I have a complicated room background and struggle to get the clarity of detail that you are able to get. Also for some reason my logitech camera takes about 1m to come in with this program,
could this be caused by a more complex background? Content of your video excellent, as usual.
