Today I wanted to do a video about the current beauty releases that I found interesting.

Usually when I do reacting to new release style videos I talk about the good bad and ugly about the releases. However, lately...there have been so many cool things coming out that I really wanted to focus on those things for a little while.

There may be more "new release" videos coming your way as a result of just how excited I am about the beauty space this year.

I made a HUGE disclaimer when I was filming..I am just trying to get better about not doing that anymore so I took it out. When I filmed the video I said "I go into these videos totally cold..I just get on hot fire and trendmood and give first reactions to what I am seeing. I don't watch any videos or look any further I am more interested in the optics of the releases than anything else" and as a result I got some stuff WRONG in this video hahah. But thats ok i will consider expanding how I do these in the future to avoid that mistake :)

Kylie has already kinda “showed off” the new packaging, and it’s exactly the same! 🤦‍♀️ The only reason she’s doing this rebrand is Bc the lawsuit her company is involved in (they’ve accused her of sharing formulas and all that). I can’t believe she didn’t take the opportunity to actually change and update her packaging/brand. I’m not a Kylie fan IN THE SLIGHTEST BIT, so I’m not interested anyways (I’m sure we’re a lil out of her demographic). But why wouldn’t she have taken this opportunity to give her brand a more grown-up and adult, sophisticated vibe that WOMEN would be more attracted to? Just seems like allot of lost opportunity to me.

Kylie’s rebranding is due to legal issues with uh, I think Coty who owned it previously? I’m not clear on the details, but they accused her of stealing various company secrets + fudging numbers to make her company appear to be worth more than what it was in order to profit more from the sale. So the rebrand is in order to avoid or at least minimize a settlement.

I really hope the besame compacts are a regular sized compact. Estée Lauder did almost this exact idea last holiday but the compacts were tiny. I sent it back immediately. They were very expensive, almost 200$ Disney princesses, it was literally the exact same concept. Btw you look stunning

Honestly these new tinted moisturizers that are coming out are a scam lolol they are all light to medium more on the medium side and offer more coverage then a tint. Yet the shade ranges are dismal. But if people like it I love it

I’m in the fragrance community so I totally disagree whit you’re opinion on perfumes 😅also you should’ve got more info on kayali, it’s her actual sisters brand not hudas !and I would rather spend my money on perfume then makeup 🤣

Remember- everything you recycle, it has to be washed… clean bottles, clean plastics etc… if it’s dirty, they can’t process it and it will end up in a landfill- a message from my aunt who was listening to me while we bake- she works at DSNY

Re: kayali don't know much about huda but i hear she was obsessed with putting fragrances in her makeup. Then she listened to criticism i guess and she added some products without fragrance (including skincare). But it's clear she's a fan of fragrance so it makes sense she started a fragrance line. And I think it makes sense that she didn't call it Huda, it diversifies the brand. This coming from a non business expert. 😆
