WHAT IS THE CABIN AIR FILTER ON YOUR KIA TELLURIDE?
Cabin air filters, also know as A/C air filter, help enhance the air quality inside your vehicle creating a healthier, more comfortable environment for you and your passengers. A properly functioning cabin air filter, or ac air filter, can stop up to 90% of dust, pollen, and spore particles from entering the Kia Telluride passenger compartment location.

WHEN SHOULD YOU CHANGE THE CABIN AIR FILTER ON YOUR TELLURIDE?
It is recommended that you replace your cabin air filter every 10,000 - 15,000 miles or once a year. However, you may want to replace or change the cabin filter in you Kia Telluride more often if:
-You or a frequent passenger suffers from allergies or has other respiratory problems
-You drive your Telluride on dirt roads or in an excessively dusty location

Thanks for the Hot-To video. As a Handyman-For-Hire & an old school shade tree mechanic, my wife often tasks me with jobs at home. This Telluride belongs to her dad & she asked me to swap out his cabin & engine air filter. I've never worked on a vehicle this new & felt a little intimidated, therefore I wanted to know how complicated & in depth this assignment was. I didn't know where the cabin filter was located, if special tools were required or how complex the job was. Thank you for this informative, straight forward video, I can now complete the task with confidence.

Everything was perfect and I did the replacement in less than 5 minutes!! The only thing I'd add is that on my replacement filter there was a flap in the front I had to lift up as I closed the access door of the cabin filter. Perfect !! The Oil Change place said that usually does this replacement said I'd need to hire a mechanic to replace it. He also said that I could go a couple of more Oil Changes befofe this filter needed replacing. As it turned out it was absolutely filthy and black and definitely needed replacing.... YouTube pulls thru again !!

Excellent video. My Kia dealership charged $56 to change the cabin filter. A replacement filter at Amazon is about $34 with tax. That means the labor is $22. That is how much you’ll save by doing this 5 minute (if that) replacement yourself.
