Slavery never ended and neither did the aristocracy. They both took New more acceptable names but they are still here and so deeply engrained that their system could never be broken without millions perishing.

The Good News: We're becoming a Star Trek society! The Bad News: We're not the Federation, we're the Ferengi.

In a nutshell, people will no longer be forced to work to have their basic needs met.

Capitalism ended in 1971. We have been running on crony capitalism for 40 years. The government gate keeps these industries in service of the big guy

Socialism, then communism. Fully automated to the point of the job of the common man being replaced by automation, work for survival is replaced with work for purpose and bettering ourselves.

Companies and Billionaires would rather allow America's economy to crash, than giving (trickling down) money to middle and lower class individuals. Sharing wealth will never happen.

It seems more and more that we work for the machinery of capitalism, rather than the machinery working for us

In postcapitalism money in circulation to reflect life itself, detach earnings from occupation. Every man should release a monetary unit every day and use it. Money should not be able to make more money, therefore interest should be prohibited. At end of life, the total amount released by the person should be drawn out of circulation. This is how the markets will adjust to needs and demands without imposing consumption upon people. Public sector should be served part time from all.

I think the solution in this video is so understated, to tax shareholder profits and distribute them to society is a game changer because the people that live in the countries where these companies operate are effectively the main stakeholders and shareholders.

the one big problem with this idea is it overlooked thst companies will simply move overseas to countries that don't have this policy.

Robert Anton Wilson proposed something very similar in "The RICH economy".
Automated AI-run corporations are first 'Globalised' (like nationalised but global) - and the non-transferable shares are divided amongst every living human - the share dividends then being a universal income for every human being on Earth.

Be careful what you wish for. Yes we’ve all had enough of Crony Capitalism and in a “Post Capitalist” society many will gladly work for a purpose that serves the rest of us.
But most people work for an incentive rather than doing the “right thing”. Idleness and lack of purpose could easily become the norm here. “Makers” will resent supporting the ”takers”. “Why work?”
A big autocratic and self-serving state will soon evolve to ensure we all do the “right thing”. It’s hunger for “dividends” will suck the life out of everything else. Think Venezuela and Cuba.
Rather than fantasise about “Communism without Communists” We should surely concentrate on how we break up monopolies.

What was before Capitalism? In fact what was culture and life like for the indigenous peole before the arrivals? Could that life have been the true freedom we so call freedom today.
