Iowa farmer here—actually former Iowa farmer. Among other reasons for quitting farming and taking a different path, a big one was the Trump tariffs. The tariffs caused China to retaliate by curbing their grain imports, which caused our corn and soybean prices to crash.
I was so disgusted by everything he was doing, that I didn’t want to participate in the farm subsidy honeypot that was forthcoming.

Tariffs are taxes imposed by one country on goods or services imported from another country. Tariffs are trade barriers that raise prices and reduce available quantities of goods and services for U.S. businesses and consumers.
