Neither the Ayatollah, nor the attacker, nor 99% muslims have even read his book. The book is about those who misuse religion and god for power, and how people shpuld not fall for such "seniors in religion" but think for themselves, and develop their own understanding of god. Ayatollah just proved him right.

I am agnostic but I respect all religions in the world I think his provocative behaviour led to this incident.Insulting people and the nature of objective morality is not a good thing.I see this man as another Thomas Harris unfortunately
