My life up to now got truly empty to me... since Covid I tried numerous times to get my photography going again after 35 years of not doing it.. I have got your book, it is fabulous, enjoying reading it, . I am someone that loves colour and I am more drawn to subjects that is more colourful and this gives me more inspiration to create lovely images. It will come as no surprise that I absolutely love the gulls, but what inspires me with these images is wanting to get more pictures of the birds in their environment and not just the fill the frame portraits that I typically get. Also with the gulls a nice contrasty black and white would be really cool. In fact when I have something that I’m not quite sure about, I look to see how a black and white edit would look, and more often than not it works.

I love mist because in my part of Australia the light of summer is very bright and harsh. Mist makes the world look new and there is a feeling timelessness where humans don't exist. My favourite photo was the lone Duck gliding on the water. somehow added to this mist I wondered where was it going what was it thinking. As always Kim a lovely video and photographs.
