Top 10 Beaches of Crete (NOT Elafonisi, Balos or Falasarna)

Crete has a coastline of 1046 km, with countless beaches! Some like Elafonisi, Balos and Falasarna are famous around the world, while other are unknown even to the locals.
Although it's actually impossible to rank them, i chose what i consider to be the top ten beaches of Crete. I chose beaches that stand out because of their location, their enviroment and waters. Most of these do require hiking to get to or of couse you can take the boat.

IMPORTANT WARNING !
If you chose to hike to these beaches make sure that you are well prepared!
Do not attempt any hiking activity if you are not in a good physical condition.
Do not attmpt any hiking activity alone.
Always carry enough water and food.
Use a map or a hiking application.
Crete can be really hot during summer! DO NOT underestimete the heat.

There are 2 beaches in this list that are particularly diffucult to reach :
1) Trypiti Beach - E4 trail from Sougia (10km, +600)
2) Domata Beach - E4 trail either from Sougia (16km, +800 ) or from Agia Roumeli (8km, +600)
If you are not an experienced hiker DO NOT attempt to hike to these beaches.
If you are not in an excellent physical state DO NOT attempt to hike to these beaches.
