It's a good upgrade if you're coming from iPhone 12 or earlier, the main camera, USB-C port, and even Dynamic Island itself is worth it.

The refresh rate might be a bit poor but I’ll suck it up so it’s definitely worth getting

iPhone 15 has some improvement, the solid battery life, the design give a comfortable grip, the A16 bionic chip, the default 24mp on the main cam, auto portrait and there's a USB-C port.
But the ultrawide is disappointed and yes it has no autofocus and no refresh rate (as expected), very slow charging speed.

Apple probably won’t bring higher refresh rate for the baseline model unless they up the refresh rate for the pro models. If the pro models go up to 165hz then there’d be a reason to up the refresh rate on the baseline models. Late to the oled party.
Late to the usb c port change.
Late to have a big screen without selling it at an atrocious price.

No quick charging.
No high refresh hz on base models.
No memory card slot for memory expansion.
