American billionaire, Jeff Bezos has offered 2 billion dollars to NASA in exchange for a Moon Mission contract.

His company, Blue Origin is seeking to make a spacecraft designed to land astronauts back on the moon.

In a letter, Bezos said Blue Origin will waive payments in the current fiscal year and the ones after that up to 2 billion dollars.

He said the company will also pay for an orbital mission to vet the US space agency’s technology.

Bezos noted NASA's short-term and long-term lunar ambitions will be delayed without competition.

Meanwhile, SpaceX just scored another major contract to launch NASA’s Jupiter moon mission.
