This is the first official single since our last studio album. It’s a statement: a mix of new and familiar. The new: the horn section and live instruments, played throughout, from the drums to the bass to our array of synths. The familiar: the groove and the tone, two signature things that we’ve been honing for almost 20 years now. The aesthetic of this record is gonna go so hard. Chromeo with live instruments and horns throughout has no right being as groove inducing as it's contemporaries, but the shock is the more laid back tone of the lyrics. Chromeo are known for their slick sleazy rhymes and sexual desires but this sounds legit like plea to chat with their lover and get things straight, a legit relationship problem millions face. I can't believe that with all these risks they pulled out with their best single since arguably Dont Turn the Lights on? Im blown away
