Esprit Marching Band - Grade 3
Practically a show within itself, this production number from the group Queen includes a variety of tempos and styles from sensitive ballad to driving rock. A very dramatic statement for the field!

If you're thinking about being a drumajor, this is a good song to practice on. You know, because of the tempo and time changes. It's fantastic!

You guys don't understand. The arrangement is shorter and faster than the original because it needs to fit within the 3 minute time limit for these kind of pieces.

I regret nothing.
It would be pretty neat to play this.
I can just listen to these arrangements all day. ❤️

I will maybe play this song for my marching band season this year. Since my band's theme is Queen.

We're playing this song for our halftime show and I absolutely love it, also we're playing Crazy Little Thing Called Love, and Queen Opener

This is so nice to see. Not only do I love Saucedo's works but watching a score while listening to its music played can allow me to zero in on certain instruments by matching the note on the page to what I'm hearing and thus better understand their role in a balanced marching ensemble sound, even if the recording was taken in ideal conditions for playing and not necessarily the caliber of an average middle or high school program.

My band played this last year and it was by far my favorite piece we have ever played. It was fun getting the melody since trombones rarely ever get the melody.

I was a drum major last year, this was "my" piece (all drum majors conducted all of them, but this is the one I led) and it will always have a special place in my heart <3

We just played this for our marching band show. Sadly we didn’t get to play the rock part because of time restraints but there was a sax trio and a flugelhorn solo that were just amazing. We also played classical gas, carry on wayward son and paint it black. Best music we ever played

I haven’t seen anyone mention this but the horn writing is impeccable!

We played this song in our halftime show but it was a combo of this and Stairway to Heaven. The melody is the most epic part of both shows though!

But I am impressed with that plucking sound they pull off for the Scaramouche section. Those toms plus the staccato? Magnificent. It actaully took me a bit to figuore out what I was hearing.
