I’m quite happy to see a positive review as well as all these positive comments. I started causally recording music (myself and friends bands) in 2011 in high school. I was a total novice and can’t seem to remember how I landed on Mixcraft but it was the first DAW I used and what I learned on. As I got more experience and became more proficient at audio production I realized there were lots of more “legitimate” and popular DAWs out there and I experimented with a few of them. They all seemed overly complicated and not much more capable than Mixcraft so I just stuck with it. The past couple years I’ve done tens of hours of live recordings with my band, often recording up to 10 mic and DI channels at a time and then mixed those recordings using both the included and some additional effects plugins with great results. A few people I’ve played the finished recordings for couldn’t believe they weren’t professional recordings. I think that’s good enough for me. Recently I’ve thought about trying out another DAW but I really don’t see any reason now especially since I have 10+ years of experience with Mixcraft.

Mixcraft is intuitive. If I don't use mixcraft for 6 months and one fine day I decide to make music, I straight get into music making than wondering about where is what and getting overwhelmed.
Kudos mixcraft for keeping it simple yet powerful

I was so impressed by how easy it is. Tbh I havent really worked in a DAW-like software since Cakewalk 3, so Mixcraft's ease of use brought me back to music making.

I love this daw. I started with Cubase/protools then found this and have stuck with it for years

I used Mixcraft a lot in the past, it was the closest to Garageband for Windows. Good recommendation!

mixcraft is great. After using daws like cakewalk and cubase, I prefer mcraft b/c it is way cheaper and far easier to use. If you want a powerful and intuitive daw, this is it.

This DAW is my favorite, been using it since version four. Everything is easy to find, editing is a breeze, it handles VST plugins very well without crashing like other expensive DAWs I use. Version 9 comes with "a lot" of instruments. The effects are very descent and the "pianissimo grand piano is superb", and the drum section is huge...I produce most of my music in Mixcraft. It's a good product with a very affordable price. The interface is clear and easy to navigate, there are no nonsense. I love it, really.

A tip for whenever you try out any DAW: see if you can find a "scale" option on the notes. It should make it easy for anyone to make something that doesn't make your ears bleed if you choose the right scale and just click randomly, and is to me a pretty important feature to have. in any music software.

An amazing and underrated DAW. I especially love the ease of use in creating musical ideas to a finished song quickly. The FX included is more than enough and working with music clips adjustments on the arranger page is easy and inspiring.
Also, Mixcraft is only surpassed by their great customer service and tech support.

Thanks for taking the time to do this and not acting like cheap means worthless.

That's how you do it @Gamefromscratch ... I've been a Mixcraft user since v.5x and just happened to be browsing the subject tonight - your video was informative, engaging and EXACLTY what anyone considering Mixcraft needs to know, at the basic DAW level - well freak'n done man :-)

I was on the fence about trying this but after watching this video, I was genuinely impressed by the workflow you shows. Specifically when you took the midi strip and it duplicated

Reaper. Always.
Best devs in the business which is what you're buying in a DAW, It puts PT to shame as well.

I'm not a hater of Mixcraft, just being honest.

I started using Mixcraft with version 4 and immediately fell in love with it. I was first introduced to DAW/music production at elementary school with mac os x 10 garageband and I will be honest, the musical typing keyboard changed my life forever. I taught myself piano on it and immediately started to record my own tunes. I didn’t have a mac at home and so always missed recording at home. One day I looked up “garageband for PC” and voila! Mixcraft! Fast forward and I use the pro version all the time. Favorite DAW of all time.... it was and is superior imho for the fact I am easily able to merge this DAW with my analog multitrack reel to reel setup.... great for chasing analog wav forms with melodyne into midi or for just recording wav files from analog sources....
I have done things with this DAW that I have never found anywhere else.... Man I love this DAW

Mixcraft is really great in my opinion and way more intuitive than the other DAWs. I had already used Cubase, Logic and Samplitude and most recently Reaper. For me the choice between making music or searching for hours in unnecessarily complicated menus. And by the way, the new version 10 is the next step towards usability. So far I can only recommend it.

I’ve really been enjoying Mixcraft nine. It’s so intuitive and productive. I don’t find myself having to research where a feature is or how it works nearly as much as some other DAWs.

Bruh I found Mixcraft from a website cause I was looking for a PC version of Logic X Pro for my home music making experience and I found this! It was so under the radar cause non of the popular places online even listed this one and I'm so glad I found it! I'm gonna buy this once I get the money!
