MAJOR DOWNGRADE? Is this Margot Robbie Harley Quinn Life-Size Bust Worth Keeping??

Recently Infinity Studios released some production photos of their Margot Robbie Life-Size Harley Quinn Bust. A lot of collectors feel it's quite a bit of a downgrade from the protype, and so I'm questioning if I should keep it as part of my pre orders. What do you think about the changes they made? Should I keep it and add it to my collection??

In my experience, if I feel conflicted about getting a piece, I usually do end up regretting getting it. Of course, if the final result ends up perfect, then I end up being happy. In this case, since it’s the final product shots that are making you unhappy, you are not likely to find it perfect when you get it. So I’d cancel if you can get your deposit back. There will always be newer statues of these popular characters, which will also always be better with technology. The chances of being disappointed by missing out is likely very small in the long term given that point.

At 1:1 scale and $4k it needs to look 99% accurate. It takes up way too much space and presence to for it to have just a passing resemblance. I wouldn't want guests coming in and going, yeah that kind of looks like her.

Honestly, I canceled my preorder for Harley. The prototype looked amazing but the production looks awful in my opinion. To me the face is more bloated and the lack of hair makes her look a lot older. I know Infinity themselves isn’t happy with the final product. That’s why there hadn’t been a single update regarding this piece for over a year and the absence at all their live showcase events. Very disappointing but at least I got my deposit back 😅

I'd cancel her. If that image is an accurate representation of what collectors are going to be getting then it's not good enough for the money imo. The catwoman looks worth the pricetag, but not the Harley. 75%-85% likeness is not good enough when the pricetag is that high. We need to hold the companies to a higher standard at those price points.

This looks like a girl who resembles Margot Robbie, who’s cosplaying Harley Quinn. You’ll see imperfections every time you glance at her in your collection if they can’t modify some things. I’d definitely keep the preorder and see in person…I also wouldn’t hesitate on the Catwoman bust, that’s perfection. Get it all Chris!!!! 😅 #YOLO

I think the JND piece has a better likeness and this is coming from someone who has some issues with JND.

not interested in silicon statues. unless they've done something special, silicone tends to collect dust and lint that gets stuck in the pores. I used to have a silicon case for an IPOD MINI back in the day, it was disgusting within a few days. just checked to see if this is still an issue with silicone products and sure seems like it is. maybe I'm wrong, maybe they treated it with something to make it easier to clean without affecting the quality, but I have a feeling within a year or two there's going to be some disgusting looking statues in collector rooms. pure speculation, I'm probably wrong.

I say wait to see the finished product! I think this is the issue with movie pieces, we want it to look exactly like the actor. These busts are costly, spend your money on something that makes you happy!

4K is too much for a piece that is not perfect. There are too many other statues that could be purchased. Why have the headache only to resell the item.

Honestly, silicone busts is overhared as shit. Never in a million years would I spend 4K on a statue that is boring looking by nature just because of how real it looks.

I'd cancel this instantly if I can get the deposit back, but hopefully you can flip it and at least make your money back. I think sometimes people tend to neglect what kind of price range we're talking about on certain pieces. Does it look decent? Yes. But when it comes to these busts, or JND, etc... You want near perfection, otherwise how do you justify the money? And from a subjective standpoint, your collection is so vastly comic book and Dark Knight oriented, you should only get the best of the best when it comes to other movie pieces, no room for "meh" ones. For example I know you were considering the Anne Hathaway bust over the 1/3 Batpod, but I'd get that bust over the Harley Quinn one any day. There will be a far more iconic Harley soon enough in a future movie, and Margot Robbie's career has been a string of box office failures lately.

For me it's a 65% likeness. Margot has a bit fatter and more natural jawbone - not so defined as in the bust. It would be a decent pick-up if you're not concerned about the likeness.

You can't preorder on the hopes of things changing or improving. You can set yourself up for disappointment. You should have to suck it up and spend time and energy on a gamble. Unless you like to roll the dice.

Also buy what you like, not what is "in style" or popular with people. I've seen this happen over and over again. People buy into things and then ask themselves why they bought it in the first place and end up selling it and wasting all that time.

I’m not happy with a couple Of things. 1. This is not production quality. 2. Why on earth would they NOT do a smiling portrait to show Margot Robbie’s beautiful smile and teeth? For 4K we deserve TEETH! It’s Harley Quinn…..Harley Quinn ALWAYS shows her teeth.

I completely understand what you're saying because when you're spending $4, 000 on a piece whether it's a statue or life-size bust you got to get some perfection in there for me I purchased the Harley Quinn as well as mirra from Aquaman and I don't regret getting those two pieces to me it looked like the person as far as the Harley Quinn I still see Harley Quinn from The Suicide Squad it's a lot better than the sixth scale figures of Harley Quinn from birds of prey so I look forward to getting it in hand

I want the bust. But I could also get the harley joker diorama, tweeterhead rocket, a sideshow premium format, the other life sized bust, and a couple hot toys for the cost of that lol

At this point we know well that lighting and angles impact how’s these statues really look in person. I honestly think we have seen so far is a result of that issue. In hand I think this will be a fantastic piece and no one will be disappointed. I have one on PO and I would not cancel it. I would see how much I like it in person and if it’s not for me then sell it.

I don't even know if busts are for me, so I'm really struggling with that...
I'm also interested potentially in the Robert Patteson batman bust, the dark knight bust that they tease, the Christian bale bust etc etc
