So true 😂. I remember back in the Cataclysm days, when people would get confused about what the next step for a quest was and ask about it in chat, some players would just reply with the acronym, “RTFQ”.

Meaning, “Read the fucking quest.”

Actually one of the reasons why I quit the game. I got tired of people wanting to speed run content. Would load in, watch the cut scene and by the time I popped out of the cutscene the druid tank would be halfway or more through the instance.

Thats why this expac Ive been going slow and reading all of the quest text. Exponentially enjoying the experience more! Im even not doing flying unless i absolutely need it

Really appreciated this particular podcast ep. There was a lot of fun moments, some very good insights, and it helped me better make my decision to maybe sit this expansion out... but keep an eye on how things are progressing with my friends that ARE playing.

Maybe not this time, but maybe they can win me back eventually.

When I was in middle schoo, I didn't play WoW, but I was a big Warcraft nerd and read WoWwiki for fun, and my friends who DID play WoW could come to me and ask why they were killing Onyxia, etc.

The only reason I play WoW is for the story. Also the music - that's something they always seem to get right.

I watch all cinematic scenes and I have my sound on.

The only dialogue I don’t engage is when I have to read what they are saying, since I’m a slow reader and they speak faster than I can read.

they did try in Dragonflight to encourage players to slow down a little. It will probably take a while before more of the community jumps on board. Ive enjoyed just slowly going through these expansions its great.

I got that addon that pushes the camera in on quest giver and has a nice scroll 📜 look to the quest window to force me to take a moment more than I usually do. I don't usually skip cutscenes with quests... But I do plow through quests otherwise sometimes.

Also I really like the follower dungeon option especially with campaign relevant dungeons. I'm hopeful that there's something similar woth upcoming raids as I am more prone to skipping the cutscenes in raids, just to keep up with the group

Expansion is arguably one of the best so far. Hopefully it keeps going strong. But side quest got me in my feelings. Watched a brother lose a brother just to be manipulated… or my man’s the lantern dwarf. The feels man
