She looks so elegant and full of spirit. Bomsori's violin playing is heavenly to both ears and eyes!

Her name Bomsori means “the sound of spring” in Korean, I think this performance truly deserves it.

Bomsori very clearly - just incredibly clearly - voices every feeling or emotion pronounced by her violin in every musical phrase. It seems to be like a person speaks - only not in words, but in a voice with a closed mouth. Bomsori's soul and her heart are simply priceless.

It seems to me that the main thing that makes Bomsori violin playing unique (of course, without taking into account the beauty of a piece of music) is still her worldview and her soul.
The bright live soul of Bomsori and her energetic violin playing are always looking to the future (in some attractive way, and it's hard to describe). Bomsori not only expresses the vision of a bright and beautiful world, but also, with her undoubted sincere and powerful movement towards it, unwittingly also captivates all listeners along this path. And, perhaps, it is precisely by this that she attracts to herself all listeners who instinctively or consciously cannot but reach for this light.
Are there people in general who are attracted by darkness, confusion and chaos in their souls? And if there are, how many?
... In our time, is it possible to find any of the modern violinists who can surpass Bomsori? It seems to me that all other violinists are trying to focus on something else: on the rational side of playing with homeopathic doses of expressing feelings (if not avoiding them altogether as a potentially dangerous topic); or on the bright technical aspects of playing, on unsurpassed virtuosity (although this may just be a kind of fraud), etc. However, is all this (without a direct appeal to the human soul) capable of leaving an indelible mark on the souls of listeners? Without the manifestation of human aspirations or values as the essence of music?
... PS: I hope that my attempts to understand something were not rude or surgical intervention in other people's souls and that I overstepped the boundaries of what was permitted.

isn’t it a little ironic that this performance exploded online to a much greater extent than that of the winner of the competition....

Very strange, Bomsori's playing Shostakovich concerto is not uploaded. She played amazingly good, impeccable. Veriko is fantastic. Bomsori should share the first prize with Verik, both of them superb in different way. Bomsori and Richard Lin at the gala concert got the big applause from the audience. After Bomsori's playing Shostamovith, the orchestra and audience all stood up and cheered for her.

I got an iPad Pro, the big one. It has 4 loudspeakers, one at each corner. I am aged with high frequency hearing loss. On this device I hear all those violin high notes like I was a youth again. This is lovely music exceedingly well played. The recording, and clever, clear and attentive video editing first class. The good recording enables us to like or dislike the performance. Who is so selfish and opinionated to say whether it is “better” or “worse” than somebody else’s effort. Comparisons are just trying to ram your own selfish idea down another’s throat. If you like or dislike the recording just say so and leave it at that giving a specific music reason, do not give a preference reason, invoking any comparison with another recording. When you can do that your opinions will be valued.

Her facial expressions and the way she plays the violin matches so well. I guess she naturally lives up to her name. Such a speechless performance

At 82, this is as fine a performance by Ms Kim as I’ve ever heard from any violinist in my lifetime!!! “AWESOME”! I’ve never heard of her before this! The “brilliance” she gets from that “wooden box with catgut” is unbelievable!!! She’s “shocking”! My favorite violinist was David Oistrakh. But to me Ms Kim is his equal! And she’s prettier too! Of mind & body, God gave us PERFECTION with this girl! I’m still recoiling in shock from what I just heard!!! And what are great great composer too! “Ach du lieber, mein

Giving speeches, singing and dancing in front of an audience always give me the jitters, but when playing an instrument I just get lost in playing and the sounds I produce makes me at ease.
