Novant Health accused of selling private patient information

A judge signed off on a $6.6 million dollar settlement between a North Carolina hospital system and its patients.

Novant Health is accused of sending Facebook’s parent company sensitive patient data.

While Novant hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing, they will pay the settlement to tens of thousands of patients who say their information was compromised.
