A customer wanted this 282 original mile GNX that was for sale at Barrett Jackson. The team went down, completed the auction purchase. Then the process began. The car was cleaned and polished, the interior and engine bay were detailed after the car recieved a dry ice cleaning. The filler panels were replaced and painted, and the car was cleaned up to as it would have sat on the showroom floor.

Awesome video! I inherited my dad’s GNX he bought new, has 180 miles. It’s been strictly stored in climate controlled environment, but I recently had it dry iced and it turned out great. I love when people make fun of the orange peel in the paint, makes me laugh.

It was great to see Mr Scoutten again. What a perfect way to bring this car back. Congratulations to the new owner, thanks for taking us along.

Just such a great looking car! The GNX was the king of the hill in its day. I did spy the telltale sign of every single G-body of the day...a sagging headliner!

Such a fantastic low mileage dry iced and cleaned up time capsule! Guys thanks for keeping the most iconic cars in a good shape and giving them a second birth!

They say the last of the Muclecars was at least 1974. High compression 1971. Then you get this baby!

It’s kind of a shame that this car was never enjoyed on the road. But it is great to look back in time. I graduated college in 1986. I wanted one of these, but the price was out of my range. I “settled” for a gorgeous red Trans Am. That was a great car.

What a super interesting video! The more I have learned about these super car “time capsules, ” the more enamored I have become with them. LegitStreetCars also has a few incredible restoration videos of a storage-purchased BGN that had me glued to the screen. I love your respect for the treasure put in your hands and the utter and proper care you gave it. Kudos!

I wish this was my car...not only would she be a blast to drive but she's also got concert sound 2 which was much better then concert sound 1 for when I'd have the tunes cranked

I loved my T-type...several friends had GNs. I saw an original GNX come through my hometown back in the day. I had the chance to purchase a GSX sadly I didn't 😥. If I ever win the lottery this will be my fist purchase.
Thanks for letting me ramble.

I don’t understand why the owner would park it and not drive it. Cars are meant to be enjoyed and driven, not put on a shelf! You don’t live forever.
