Man, having Abraham Lincoln as the guest-star of the episode was truly EPIC. 🤣🤣🤣

This episode actually kept me from "ending it all" and even gave me hope for a better tomorrow. I always think of this episode when I'm feeling down. One of my favorite TZ episodes.

Kudos to Klugman for going out of his way to take trumpet lessons for his role, which always helps to add authencity to the story! 📯

“Call me Gabe. Short for Gabriel.”

From one horn player to another.

Nice touch.

Ah, I get it now!

"Gabe, short for Gabriel"
"One trumpeter to another"

Yeah, he was archangel Gabriel. Just figurated that out now.

Clever touch with Joey being helped by Gabriel since one of his most famous pieces of his iconography is the horn!

When Gabe revealed his name, the biggest, most sincere smile spread across my face.

I can imagine how hard it is to just act like nothing is happening when this guy is trying to interact with the people around him. The extras in Twilight Zone again I believe delivered here.

This is a favorite of mine. It's basically the TZ version of "It's a Wonderful Life", with an angel showing the main character that yes, your life does have worth and that there's always good even in the bad times.

When I was a child watching TV, Jack Klugman was Quincy. It's been a joy over the years to see the intensity and sincerity that he brought to other roles.

The person who provided the actual music for Joey & Gabe was Uan Rasey, one of the many legendary Hollywood studio musicians of that time. You may also have heard him in Chinatown, Rocky, & The Munsters. He lived to be 91 and passed in 2011. My private teacher look lessons from him for 30 years and described him as the most positive human being to ever live.

The plot kinda reminds me of _Soul, _ It has an eerily similar presence. A musician down on his luck and then gets into an accident and it’s about life choices. Tell me that doesn’t sound like _Soul._

Oh, the archangel Gabriel. That's actually really cool.

It's back. I'm going to cry!😭
Fun Fact: This was also Klugman's favorite episode as well.

As a musician myself, this episode touches my heart. I’m currently not able to do much with my talent, and it’s reassuring.

The parts of him in limbo are some of my favorites and I love that after all Joey goes through, he chooses to go forward and then he meets Nan for some positive interactions. I love thinking what their relationship is like after.

The visual of Gabe under the light with the horn tucked under his arm is just so iconic. It's been burned into my memory since the first time I watched this episode. Also, since the Twilight Zone is one of those shows where we've all heard the plot twists and they've all been parodied to death, the plot twist is that Joey wasn't actually dead and that everyone else were ghosts came completely out of left field. I actually forget that that's the twist in every rewatch.

Man, that twist always got me when I re-watched this episode.
